President Donald Trump has ordered the removal of Secret Service protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden, extending his political actions against the family of his predecessor, Joe Biden.
In a statement on his Truth Social platform, Trump claimed that Hunter Biden had as many as 18 security personnel, calling the arrangement “ridiculous.”
He also announced that Ashley Biden, daughter of Joe and Jill Biden, would lose her security detail, which he said included 13 agents.

“Please be advised that, effective immediately, Hunter Biden will no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden who has 13 agents will be taken off the list,” Trump wrote.
Under federal law, former presidents and their spouses are entitled to lifelong Secret Service protection, while their children receive it only until age 16. However, security details for adult children are sometimes extended.
A Secret Service spokesperson, when questioned about Trump’s action, told AFP: “We are aware of the President’s decision to terminate protection for Hunter and Ashley Biden.”
“The Secret Service will comply and is actively working with the protective details and the White House to ensure compliance as soon as possible,” he added.
