U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a fresh attack on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, accusing him of deceiving the United States into spending $350 billion on the ongoing war with Russia.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump referred to Zelenskyy as a “modestly successful comedian” who manipulated the Biden administration into excessive war spending.
He claimed that the conflict was unnecessary and could have been prevented with better leadership.
Trump criticized the Biden administration for failing to secure financial commitments from European nations equal to that of the U.S., arguing that the war is of greater significance to Europe than to America.
He pointed out that while European contributions to Ukraine are guaranteed, the United States stands to gain nothing in return.
“Why didn’t Sleepy Joe Biden demand equalization?” Trump asked, emphasizing that the U.S. has a vast ocean separating it from the conflict zone.

Further escalating his criticism, Trump alleged that half of the money sent to Ukraine has gone “missing,” citing Zelenskyy’s own admission.
He also accused the Ukrainian leader of acting like a “dictator” by refusing to hold elections and claimed that his popularity among Ukrainians is plummeting.
According to Trump, Zelenskyy’s primary skill has been “playing Biden like a fiddle” to secure continued U.S. financial and military assistance.
Trump also suggested that Ukraine is losing the war and warned that if Zelenskyy does not act quickly, he may not have a country left to govern.
He painted a grim picture of Ukraine’s current state, arguing that millions of people have died unnecessarily due to poor leadership and strategic miscalculations.
He implied that Zelenskyy may be more interested in maintaining a financial “gravy train” than in securing peace.
Trump asserted that only he and his administration could successfully negotiate an end to the war with Russia.
