Trump Says No Plans to Deport Prince Harry, Calls Meghan Markle “Terrible”

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that he has no intention of deporting Prince Harry, arguing that the Duke of Sussex already has enough “problems” due to his wife, Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry’s immigration status in the U.S. has been challenged by the Heritage Foundation, which claims he may have concealed past drug use from authorities, potentially rendering him ineligible for a visa.

When asked about the issue, Mr. Trump dismissed the possibility of deportation. “I don’t want to do that,” he told The New York Post. “I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

The president also suggested that Prince Harry is not in control of his own decisions, saying the duke is “being led around by the nose.”

Meghan Markle previously criticized Mr. Trump in a 2016 interview, calling him “misogynistic” and “divisive” while urging people not to vote for him.

Despite his remarks about Prince Harry and Meghan, Mr. Trump had high praise for Prince William, calling him a “great young man.”

The two met privately in December 2023 during the reopening of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
