Former US President Donald Trump hinted on Saturday that he might reconsider rejoining the World Health Organization (WHO).
Speaking at a rally in Las Vegas, Trump made the statement just days after initiating the United States’ withdrawal from the global health agency, citing its alleged mishandling of the COVID-19 pandemic and other international health challenges.
“Maybe we would consider doing it again; I don’t know. Maybe we would. They would have to clean it up,” Trump said.
Following former President Donald Trump’s directive, the United States is set to officially withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO) on January 22, 2026.
He announced the decision on Monday after being sworn in for a second term in the White House.
