Trump to Reverse Biden’s Paper Straw Policy with Executive Order

President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order next week reversing his predecessor Joe Biden’s policy on paper straws, restoring the use of plastic in the United States.

In a statement released on Truth Social on Friday, Trump criticized Biden’s push for eco-friendly paper straws, calling it “ridiculous and ineffective.”

“I will be signing an executive order next week ending the ridiculous Biden push for paper straws, which don’t work. BACK TO PLASTIC!” he wrote.

The Biden administration had introduced a policy in 2022 to phase out single-use plastics, including straws, food containers, and bottles, from all federal lands, including national parks, by 2032.
