Turkish MP Suffers Heart Attack Moments After Cursing Israel in Parliament

Hasan Bitmez, a member of Turkey’s Saadat Party and representative of the Grand National Assembly, collapsed during a fiery speech in which he denounced Israel.

The incident occurred during the General Assembly session in Kocaeli province on Tuesday.

Bitmez, 53, had just concluded a speech vehemently criticizing Israel, proclaiming that the nation would face the wrath of Allah.

Bitmez had just finished cursing out Israel, stating that “Israel will be smitten with the anger of Allah.”

However, the intensity of his remarks was followed by a sudden collapse, as captured by the Parliament’s live broadcast cameras.

Lawmakers swiftly rushed to his aid, and individuals with medical expertise administered initial assistance.

An ambulance promptly transported Bitmez to the hospital, where he was reported to be in critical condition.

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca later confirmed on social media that the parliamentarian had been admitted to the intensive care unit at Bilkent City Hospital.
