Twin Bomb Explosions Rock Zamfara Days After Previous Attack

Days after bombs exploded in Zamfara State, killing commuters and injuring several others, two additional explosive devices were detonated at different locations in the Dansadau District of Maru Local Government Area.

The bombs went off separately on the road between Dansadau and Malamawa and another on Malele Road, both within the Dansadau district.

Reports indicate that the explosions on Malamawa and Malele roads occurred simultaneously but did not result in any casualties.

According to Premium Times, a resident, Nuhu Babangida, revealed that passengers in a Canter truck heading to the Dansadau weekly market narrowly escaped harm on Friday. The truck, carrying grains, triggered one of the bombs.

This marks the third incident of explosive devices being planted along Dansadau Road in just one week.

Earlier on Wednesday, 12 people were reportedly killed when an explosive destroyed a bridge in Yar Tasha village.

This was confirmed by the Commissioner of Police, Muhammad Shehu Dalijan, during an interview with the press.
