Tragedy Strikes on Christmas: Two Brothers Drown at Ibeshe Beach in Lagos

In a heart-wrenching incident on Christmas Day, two brothers lost their lives in a drowning tragedy at Ibeshe Beach, Lagos. The Police Command in Lagos State confirmed the incident after receiving a distressing report.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesperson, the event unfolded around 6 p.m. as the brothers, identified as 26-year-old and 23-year-old Adegboyega, enjoyed an evening swim with friends. Despite efforts by companions and local divers to rescue them, their attempts proved futile.

Hundeyin expressed, “Detectives promptly visited the scene, where the siblings met their untimely fate.” The family, residing in Festac Town, now grapples with the immense loss.
