Barcelona has been fined by UEFA for the racist conduct of their fans, following an incident involving two supporters during their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.
In addition to the racism, Uefa also charged Barca for their supporters lighting fireworks and causing damage at the Parc des Princes.
The Spanish club will have to pay a fine of 32,000 euros (£27,000).
In addition to the fine, Barcelona have been banned from selling away tickets to their supporters for their next match in a Uefa competition as punishment for the racist behaviour, although the ban is suspended for a probationary period of one year.
Barcelona must also make contact with Paris St-Germain, who will meet Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League semi-finals, within 30 days to settle the damage caused by supporters in the stadium.
The statement reads, “The UEFA Appeals Body has decided to fine FC Barcelona 25,000 euros and to ban FC Barcelona from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next UEFA competition match, for the racist behaviour of its supporters.”
