Amid growing hostilities between Israel and Iran, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced the deployment of RAF jets to the Middle East, emphasizing the move as part of providing “contingency support” throughout the region.
The development follows a stark warning from Iran, which threatened to strike UK, US, and French bases should these nations intervene to stop attacks on Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a fierce warning to Tehran, vowing to “hit every site and every target of the Ayatollahs’ regime” in response to the escalating conflict.
This latest escalation saw both countries launching missile and airstrikes over the weekend. Israel struck key parts of Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure, actions Netanyahu claimed may have set Iran’s nuclear ambitions back by years. He further warned that more intense attacks could follow.
According to Iran’s state television, around 60 people—including 20 children—were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a residential complex in Tehran. The Iranian ambassador told the UN Security Council that at least 78 people had died and more than 300 were injured in the attacks.

As previously reported by SaharaReporters, Israel issued a severe threat to Iran, promising to turn Tehran into “a blazing ruin” if missile attacks on Israeli territory persist.
Reacting to what Israel described as Iranian missiles hitting civilian areas, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz stated that Tehran had crossed a red line, declaring: “If Ayatollah Ali Khamenei continues to fire missiles at the Israeli home front, Tehran will burn.”
Katz’s statement followed a barrage of Iranian retaliatory strikes in response to Friday’s Israeli offensive targeting Iran’s nuclear sites and military leadership.
