The Central Bank of Nigeria has announced the appointment of new executives for Union Bank, Keystone Bank, and Polaris Bank, following the dissolution of their respective management boards.
In a statement released on Wednesday by the Acting Director of Corporate Communications, Sidi Ali Hakama, the decision to dissolve the previous boards and management was made due to their non-compliance with the provisions of Section 12(c), (f), (g), (h) of the Banks and Other Financial Institutions Act, 2020.
The newly appointed CEOs and their positions were unveiled by the apex bank. Yetunde Oni is set to take on the role of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer for Union Bank, with Mannir Ubali Ringim appointed as the Executive Director.
For Keystone Bank, Hassan Imam will assume the position of Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, while Chioma A. Mang has been appointed as the Executive Director.
In the case of Polaris Bank, Lawal Mudathir Omokayode Akintola has been named the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, and Chris Onyeka Ofikulu will serve as the Executive Director.
