Manchester United suffered a startling 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at their home ground, Old Trafford, on Saturday.
Despite a 2-1 victory over Chelsea earlier in the week, the Red Devils found themselves back on a losing streak, succumbing to a humiliating defeat against Bournemouth.
Bournemouth set the tone of the game right from the start, with Dominic Solanke scoring a goal in the fifth minute as a reward for their aggressive play. The Cherries’ high-pressure strategy paid off when they regained possession in the opposition’s half, leading to Lewis Cook delivering a low cross to Solanke, who expertly guided the ball past stranded Andre Onana.
Solanke remained a constant threat to the Manchester United defence throughout the first half, even having a goal disallowed for offside and hitting the post from close range.

The second half saw no change in the narrative as Manchester United struggled to create opportunities, and Bournemouth seized the chance to extend their lead. Despite a late surge from the hosts, it was Bournemouth who struck again, with Phillip Billing heading in the second goal in the 68th minute, a mere 10 minutes after his introduction from the bench.
The visitors added insult to injury with a third goal just five minutes later, with Marcos Senesi finding the net from Tavernier’s corner after being left unmarked in the penalty area.
This victory marks a significant milestone for Bournemouth, being their first triumph at Old Trafford and their fourth win in their recent five unbeaten matches.
On the other hand, Manchester United recorded their seventh loss in 16 Premier League matches this season.
Bournemouth’s victory sees them ascend to the 13th position in the league standings.
