US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers have arrested Aderemi Joe Akefe, a Nigerian convicted of cocaine trafficking.
In a statement issued on Friday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced that Akefe is currently in detention alongside other criminal aliens.
Akefe, 67, was described as a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria and was listed among “the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens.”

“Mr Akefe has criminal convictions for conspiracy to distribute cocaine,” the Department stated.
The Department further disclosed that all legal processes required for Akefe’s deportation have been completed.
