Genocide: “Trump Is Right to Defend Christians; China That Just Arrested 30 Christian Pastors Can’t Dictate U.S. Policy” — U.S. Lawmaker Challenges China Over Remarks on Nigeria

United States Representative Riley M. Moore has defended President Donald Trump’s position on protecting persecuted Christians, saying China has no moral ground to criticize U.S. foreign policy after its own record of arresting and persecuting believers.

Moore’s statement followed a warning from China’s Foreign Ministry urging the U.S. to stop using religion and human rights as pretexts for interfering in other nations’ affairs.

China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning had earlier said that they “firmly supports” Nigeria’s sovereignty and “opposes any country using religion and human rights as excuses to interfere in other countries’ internal affairs.”

The statement came after Trump threatened possible U.S. military action in Nigeria over what he described as continued killings of Christians.

Responding to China’s warning, Moore said the U.S. will not be told what to do by a “Communist autocracy” that continues to suppress religious freedom.

“President Trump is absolutely right to defend our brothers and sisters in Christ. China will not dictate our foreign policy, nor will we be lectured to by a Communist autocracy that recently arrested 30 Christian pastors for their faith and throws ethnic minorities into concentration camps,” Moore said.
