Chris Oyakhilome, founder of the Christ Embassy Church, has sparked controversy with his recent remarks about foreign aid.
Speaking during a live broadcast, Pastor Chris stated that expelling the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) from a country would result in “sudden riches” for the nation.

“If you drove away USAID from your country, you’d be suddenly richer,” he declared, suggesting that foreign aid organizations may be hindering economic independence rather than fostering development.

He continued, ” It’s all exploitation. It destroys your currency and economy. It creeps into the politics of the day and destroy the politicians. That’s what they do, they don’t care about you.”
The comment has since ignited discussions on social media, with supporters praising his bold stance on self-reliance, while critics argue that foreign aid plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare, education, and infrastructure.
