VIO, UT-PRON Team Up to Safeguard FCT Roads

In order to reduce cases of accidents in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Services (DRTS), popularly known as Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO), has chosen to team up with UT-PRON, a division of NESREA known for enforcing environmental regulations, as well as other environmental organisations.

This was said in a statement made on Monday in Abuja by Mr. Kalu Emetu, Head of Public Relations and Enlightenment at DRTS.

When they paid the Director of DRTS, Dr. Abdul-Lateef Bello, a courtesy visit on Monday in Abuja, he claimed that the directorate entered into a collaboration with UT-PRON and other environmental agencies.

The FCT road safety will be improved by this agreement. Together, these groups aim to dramatically lower the number of car accidents on FCT roads. The initiative, if successfully carried out, would not only guarantee safer commuting for all motorists but also help create a safer and healthier environment.

The precise plans or measures that will be implemented as part of this agreement are still unknown.
