Wada Emerges Chairman in Historic Kogi Football Elections

In a landmark election at the Nigeria Union Of Teachers guest house in Lokoja, Mallam Hassan Wada clinched victory as the new Chairman of the Kogi State Football Association.

The announcement by Alhaji Yahaya Alih Keller, head of the Electoral Committee, revealed Wada securing 25 votes, with the presence of NFF representatives Dr Rabiu Inuwa Sheriff and Mallam Ali Abubakar Mohammed.

Ismail Salihu and Isiyaka Suleiman secured first and second Vice Chairman positions with 25 votes each. Outgoing Normalization Committee Chairman, Honourable Sadiq Abubakar Ainoko, expressed gratitude to the NFF for entrusting them with restoring order in Kogi football.

Honourable Abdulmalik Isah of Kogi United praised the NFF for reinstating order and urged the new board to collaborate for progress. In his acceptance speech, Chairman Hassan Wada thanked God for the success and pledged innovative strategies for Kogi football’s swift development, emphasizing grassroots focus.
