In Abuja, the police of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have apprehended a group of suspected notorious kidnappers, including Buhari Muhammad and five others, at a hotel in Bassa village.
This was disclosed in a statement by SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, on Monday and provided to DAILY POST.
The arrested individuals, comprising Muhammad Sabiu, Isah Abdullahi, Hamzat Musa, Fatima Abdullahi, and Zuliat Yusuf, are believed to be part of a notorious kidnapping syndicate responsible for the abduction of Joshua Eze, the husband of Blessing Eze.
Blessing Eze sustained a bullet injury during her husband’s abduction.

Joshua Eze, who was kidnapped on January 27, 2024, was successfully rescued unharmed by Police operatives within 24 hours of his abduction.
SP Josephine Adeh confirmed that the arrest was carried out by the command’s operatives from the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, which is dedicated to combating criminal activities within the territory.
Among the items recovered from the suspects were an AK-47 rifle, 10 mobile phones, a cash sum of N345,000, and other valuable possessions.
