Kano Residents have taken to the streets in protest, dissatisfied over the rising cost of living.

The protesters who are mostly youths are seen carrying placards with different inscriptions on them along Airport Road and Muritala Muhammed Way in Kano State.

They want the government to return fuel subsidy and open up Nigeria’s borders as they bemoan hardship, saying they can no longer cope.

They also want Chief Bola Tinubu to address the ‘rising fall’ of Naira, claiming that people are dying every day of hunger.

They said:

“What our leaders are doing to us is so unfair and we have been pushed to the wall.

“Life is so difficult and our children can no longer go to school due to hunger and our inability to pay school fees.

“Prices of food items keep increasing daily and our borders are closed, we want it open.

“We are really suffering in this country, a bag of local rice in the market is about #60,000, and we can no longer afford it.

“This is not what we expect from the government.”

The youths vowed to mobilize more people on the street to how unhappy they are, as reported by Arise Tv.#protest
