Peter Obi, the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, has called on Nigerians to vote out the Bola Tinubu-led government to restore hope, prosperity, and national development.
He described the country as trapped in poverty and mismanagement under the ruling party.
Obi made the statement at a campaign rally in AMAC market, Abuja, on February 3, 2026, where he urged residents to embrace a new political approach that emphasizes accountability and public service.

“We are introducing a new Nigeria that is possible. We want a child of nobody to become somebody in this country,” he said.
He criticized public officials for stealing funds meant for development and warned that continued support for the current administration would perpetuate poverty and insecurity.
According to Obi, competent leadership must be accountable and committed to addressing citizens’ needs.
The former presidential candidate appealed to Nigerians to vote for the ADC’s Dr. Moses Paul in the upcoming AMAC elections.
“Please go out and vote for change. Your action will decide the future of this country,” Obi said, stressing that meaningful transformation begins with active citizen participation.
