What Has Changing National Anthem Done For Nigeria This Year?—Oseni Rufai

Renowned broadcaster Oseni Rufai has questioned the benefits of the change in the National Anthem introduced by the Tinubu-led government to Nigeria

Recall that in May, Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law, reinstating the country’s old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.

He continued ,”How has the new national anthem reduced the price of food?

“How has the new national anthem increased the GDP? Has the new national anthem reduced inflation?

Netizens has reacted to Rufai’s comment by relaying their thoughts and opinions.

Cozy tweeted,”Nothing 90% of Nigerians don’t know how to sing the national anthem, 5% don’t know they have changed the national anthem to one kind of song relating to when we were in the era of slave trade. While the remaining 5% who knows how to sing it are confused as to why it’s changed cause nothing in that anthem makes sense to me.”
