“Whatever Obaseki Says I Should Do is What I Will Do,” Says New Edo Deputy Gov, Omobayo Godwins

Omobayo Godwins, the recently inaugurated Deputy Governor of Edo State, has pledged his unyielding loyalty and dedication to Governor Godwin Obaseki’s leadership.

Taking office on Monday subsequent to the impeachment of former Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu, the 37-year-old conveyed his readiness to serve as a steadfast deputy to Governor Obaseki.

During an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today Programme, Omobayo reaffirmed his commitment to adhering to the directives of the governor.

He described himself as a “spare tyre” to his boss, underscoring his readiness to act in alignment with Governor Obaseki’s vision and objectives.

“Whatever he says I should do is what I will do. He knows my strength,” Omobayo said.

He stressed his readiness to prioritize Governor Obaseki’s agenda and affirmed his unwavering loyalty to the governor’s leadership.

Omobayo Godwins, born on July 19, 1986, is a native of Akoko Edo Local Government Area.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Benin.

Furthermore, he is affiliated with prestigious professional organizations including the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.
