White House Debunks Claim of Biden’s Withdrawal From Presidential Race

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre emphatically denied rumors that President Joe Biden is considering withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race.

This denial comes in response to a New York Times report suggesting that Biden had privately discussed the possibility of dropping out with confidants, which Jean-Pierre decisively dismissed during the briefing.

Jean-Pierre attributed President Biden’s subpar debate performance to him being under the weather, citing that he had a cold.

She reiterated the President’s own explanation from the previous night, where he blamed his sluggishness on jet lag following his return from the G-7 summit in Europe.

In her words, “It was not his best night. He understands that it is fair for people to ask that question, but we cannot forget his record and what he’s been able to do.

“We cannot forget how he has been able to deliver for the American people for almost four years.

“That matters too. And he has the most historic record, the most in modern politics, and that should matter,” she said.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden himself has stated that nobody is going to push him out.

Biden “I am running. I am the leader of the Democratic Party. No one is pushing me out.”
