Netizens has questioned the reason behind the continued detention of the rapper, Speed Darlington in police custody.
Speed Darlington’s continued detention has generated public curiosity since his second arrest on 27 November during a performance in Owerri, Imo State.
Recall that Darlington was arrested on allegations of cyberstalking Nigerian Afrobeats star, Burna Boy, which his lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Alieke, described as unjustified detention.
However, in a post shared by an X user, Chudé, accompanied by a banner bearing Darlington’s name and face indicating a show to be hosted by him, he wondered why his continued detention.
His post reads,”Speed Darlington has so many booked show this December, why is he still in Police Custody? This country is bullshit!
Reacting to his post, Nigerians on X has relayed their opinion and thoughts.
TheRatedSavageMan wrote,”Nigeria just happened to him. What we need to be praying against every day.”
“They want him and his kind to acknowledge the fact that they can make them disappear and nothing will happen,” ATL Jacob tweeted.
Her Excellency tweeted ,”Once you have money and connection in this country, just commit crime dey go cos nothing will happen. Last hope of the common man is the one oppressing the common man.”
