The 2019 Presidential candidate and Former National Chairman of Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria, (IPAC), Chief Ameh, has slammed the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike for commissioning the Mabuchi Car Park in Abuja, and said that ministers around the world do not commission motor parks.
In a viral video, Ameh said, “It was really a disheartening episode to watch today when I saw Wike commissioning Mabuchi car park. Where in this 21st century do people Flag off car parks? This is the least of the elementary levels of governance.
“People were applauding him because he flagged off a motor park, he should go to the internet and show me in South Africa or Egypt where ministers are flagging off a motor park.
“These are not ways to define a government that is working.”
Chief Ameh seized the opportunity to lambast Wike for criticising Senator Ireti Kingibe representing Abuja during the commissioning of the Mabuchi Car Park in Abuja. He (Wike) challenged Kingibe to seek re-election in 2027 predicting that he will defeat her.
Ameh said, “He {Wike} used that opportunity to make derogatory remarks against the city’s senator, to reduce the personality of that person, and people were applauding him.
“I blame the senators and other house of rep members, they must come together and make a press conference to Wike because he does not control the country and the resources he is spending are public resources. He cannot stand on that podium and insult votes that have been cast in FCT for a senator or anybody. It is not acceptable in a democracy.”
