‘I’m Busy With Tinubu’s Mandate’, Wike Replies Abuja Protesters Demanding Resignation

Wike

In the face of mounting demands for his immediate resignation as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike has said he is too busy to be distracted by protest.

Speaking during the commencement of remedial work on Asokoro and Wuse roads on Thursday, Wike expressed his commitment to his responsibilities as the FCT minister, asserting that he has no time for such distractions.

Addressing the protests by Abuja residents, He suggested that many demonstrators were motivated by financial incentives, claiming that most protesters receive money from unidentified sources to take to the streets.

Despite the calls for his resignation, He emphasized the democratic right of Nigerians to express themselves.

“Somebody told me that some people were carrying placards… Frankly speaking, I don’t even have time to see all that. I don’t want to be distracted. I want to be focused to deliver on the mandate given to us by Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” Wike stated.
