The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has approved the revocation of a land allocation belonging to former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Kanu Agabi.

The revocation was announced in a notice pasted on the property located at Plot 2935, off Mamud Ribadu Street, Asokoro, Abuja. According to the notice, signed by Engineer Umar Sayyadi, deeds registrar at the FCT Administration, Agabi had contravened the terms of the land allocation.

The notice states that Agabi failed to develop the land as per the allocation guidelines, which required him to construct a residential building within two years of allocation. Instead, the land remained undeveloped for over ten years.

Wike decision to revoke the land allocation is part of a wider effort to reclaim undeveloped land in the FCT and ensure that land allocations are used for their intended purposes. In recent months, the FCT Administration has revoked several land allocations belonging to prominent individuals and organizations that failed to develop the land as per the allocation guidelines.

The revocation of Agabi’s land allocation is a significant development, as it sends a strong message that the FCT Administration is serious about enforcing land allocation guidelines. #Wike
