Famous social critic and activist Aisha Yesufu has taken a jab at former governors Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State and Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, amidst their current legal issues.
Yesufu, known for her outspokenness on social and political matters, expressed amusement at the predicaments of the two politicians in a post on her official X handle.
In her post, Yesufu highlighted the misconception among Nigerian politicians that their time in power would last indefinitely.
She stated, “To Nigerian Politicians, eight years is FOREVER! Little do they know! I laugh in ElRufai and Yahaya Bello.”
This statement comes in the wake of recent events involving El-Rufai and Bello.
Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, has been under scrutiny following an attempted arrest by law enforcement authorities and subsequent declaration as wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The allegations against him relate to offenses pertaining to economic and financial crimes, particularly concerning an alleged case of money laundering totaling N80.2 billion.
