Phrank Shaibu, a former spokesman for Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, has accused Daniel Bwala of attempting to position himself as Bola Tinubu’s spokesperson.
This accusation follows Bwala’s claim that Tinubu’s Sunday speech was leaked before it was delivered, which Shaibu refutes.
Shaibu asserted that the presidential speech could not have been leaked because such addresses undergo a thorough process before being presented.
Shaibu further criticized Bwala’s motivations, suggesting that Bwala’s accusations were an attempt to secure a spokesman position within Tinubu’s administration.
In a post on his official X handle, Shaibu stated, “@BwalaDaniel, the speech wasn’t leaked, numbskull! I see your sneaky attempt to land a spokesman gig. Presidential speeches go to editors with a “do not disturb” sign until showtime.
“The premature release of the speech to Nigerians blatantly illustrates the dwindling confidence of the media in this administration …and here you’re yammering about sabotage… by who?
