Over two dozen people were named in the indictment that was returned in May. However, twelve others will face separate trials, while eight, including rapper Gunna (real name Sergio Kitchens), accepted plea deals.

The date of the trial is November 27. The jury, which consists of three men and nine women, will determine whether or not Young Thug is guilty of planning Donovan “Peanut” Thomas’s drive-by murder in 2015.

This case has raised eyebrows in the music industry and brought attention to the contentious use of rap lyrics as evidence in court. The verdict in this case could have a significant impact on both the legal system and the music business.
