US President Donald J. Trump has alleged that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky disrespected the United States, stating that Zelensky is not ready for peace if America remains involved in negotiations.
In a statement shared on his social media platform, Trump revealed details of what he described as a “very meaningful meeting” at the White House, emphasizing the intense nature of their discussions.
“Much was learned that could never be understood without conversation under such fire and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out through emotion,” Trump said.
He went on to claim that Zelensky views America’s involvement as a strategic advantage in negotiations, suggesting that the Ukrainian leader prefers US support to strengthen his position rather than seeking a genuine resolution to the ongoing conflict with Russia.
“I have determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved, because he feels our involvement gives him a big advantage in negotiations. I don’t want advantage, I want PEACE,” Trump stated.

In a pointed remark, he criticized Zelensky’s conduct during their meeting, saying, “He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace.”
