Social-political activist Aisha Yesufu has strongly criticized former President Muhammadu Buhari for his recent remarks regarding the fuel price hike.
In a viral video, Buhari was caught jokingly expressing satisfaction with the increase in fuel prices, stating, “I’m glad Tinubu increased the price of fuel because it reduced the number of people who visit me at home.”
The former President made these comments while addressing a gathering in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, where he is currently residing.
Yesufu, known for her advocacy on various socio-political issues, expressed her disapproval of Buhari’s statement, asserting that it reflects a lack of empathy and emotional intelligence.
In a comment on her X handle, “If selfish and self centered were people they would both be Buhari,” she wrote on X.

“Zero empathy. Zero emotional intelligence.
“There were people laughing at this cruelty to the people.
“If they can afford what about those who can’t and their lives are in difficulties?”
