President Mnangagwa, expressing the spirit of the occasion, stated, “The bicycles will be distributed to village heads,” affirming the practical utility of the gifts.
Complementing this, First Lady Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa contributed to the holiday spirit by donating Christmas hampers to the wives of the Village Heads in attendance. The event, held on Tuesday, witnessed the community coming together to celebrate the festive season.
However, not all reactions were celebratory, with some Zimbabweans expressing concerns. SinatraGunda criticized the move, stating, “Remove this, it’s embarrassing. Do you guys even do a cost-benefit analysis?” Village_idiot7 and SimonTshuma1 echoed sentiments of skepticism, questioning the long-term impact of bicycle donations.
