Hezbollah: 8 Israeli Soldiers Killed in Lebanon Combat

The Israeli military has announced the deaths of seven additional Israeli soldiers killed in combat in southern Lebanon on Wednesday.

CNN disclosed that the latest development brings the total toll since the offensive began to eight.

Report confirmed the deaths of eight officers and soldiers from the Israeli commando unit, Egoz, who battled with Hezbollah.

The clashes occurred inside a building in a Lebanese village, where direct combat took place between the Israeli army and Hezbollah fighters.

The IDF, however, did not say which areas in southern Lebanon the soldiers were killed.

Earlier Wednesday, the IDF announced the death of another soldier.

Hezbollah said in separate statements that it had targeted Israeli forces in three different villages in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese army said that an Israeli force breached 400 meters in Lebanon and withdrew shortly after.
