Only Prayers Can End Banditry, Kidnapping, Other Security Challenges in Nigeria – Senator Yari

Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara) has urged Nigerians on Tuesday to continue praying for an end to the prevailing issues of banditry, kidnapping, and other security challenges across the nation.

Representing the Zamfara West Senatorial District, Yari made this plea during a meeting with stakeholders from the 147 political wards of Zamfara, all affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), at his residence in Talata-Mafara.

He emphasized that, in his view, the resolution of the security challenges in the state and beyond can only be achieved through prayers.

He said, “The lingering security challenges in the country are getting out of hand, despite various measures from the government to address it. Very disheartening, the insecurity activities are becoming rampant on a daily basis in our communities. Therefore, we must sustain prayers to seek for Allah’s intervention to bring lasting solutions to the problem.’’

Mr. Yari stated that Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressed significant concern regarding the security challenges in Zamfara State and various other regions across the nation.

Mr. Yari expressed his appreciation to the meeting participants for their invaluable support during the distribution of palliatives to impoverished and vulnerable households throughout the state.

He emphasized that the initiative was designed to alleviate economic hardships among the less fortunate members of society.

Earlier in the meeting, Alhaji Lawal Liman, the state Chairman of the palliative distribution committee, commended Yari for his selfless dedication to the welfare of the masses.

Liman highlighted that the former governor’s contributions had positively impacted 170,000 vulnerable households across the state through the donation of assorted food items as part of the palliatives.
