Grammy-winning artist Ed Sheeran recently unveiled Barbadian superstar Rihanna as the muse behind his chart-topping track, ‘Shape Of You.’
Speaking in a recent interview with Hits Radio, Sheeran praised Rihanna as a genre-defying artist, stating, “Rihanna is genre-less, she can do anything. She’s the grail for songwriters. When I wrote Shape Of You, the person I was writing in my mind for was Rihanna.”
The song, released on January 6, 2017, as part of Sheeran’s album ‘Divide,’ clinched the Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.
