As the highly anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final approaches, football enthusiasts in Nigeria are facing a formidable challenge in securing tickets for the showdown against Ivory Coast.
Ovie Ofugara, CEO of the music website ‘NotJustOk‘, took to X on Saturday to express the prevailing difficulty in obtaining tickets for the decisive match scheduled for Sunday.
The tweet also criticizes both the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Ivorian organizing committee for what is perceived as mishandling the ticketing process, casting a shadow over what has otherwise been deemed an outstanding tournament.
In his tweet, Ofugara remarked, “#AFCON2023 final tickets are more scarce than Bigfoot right now. Almost easier to catch a solar eclipse.
“CAF and the Ivorian organizing committee really bungled this one.
“The only blemish on what has been an otherwise excellent tournament,” he added.
