Aliko Dangote Loses Crown as Africa’s Richest Man, Johann Rupert Claims Spot

South African business magnate, Johann Rupert has surpassed Nigeria’s Aliko Dangote to claim the title of Africa’s richest person, according to the latest Forbes ranking.

Dangote, who held the top spot for 12 consecutive years, is now the second richest man in Africa.

The updated list of Africa’s wealthiest individuals reveals a reshuffling of the top positions, with Johann Rupert & Family leading with $10.3 billion, followed closely by Aliko at $9.5 billion.
