Nigerian comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, widely known as AY, has spoken out following the confirmation of the end of his 16-year marriage by his estranged wife, Mabel.
In a recent Instagram post, Mabel disclosed that her aspiration for a lifelong partnership has taken a “different direction,” expressing her commitment to “moving forward with grace and resilience.”
Acknowledging the difficulty of the situation, she appealed for “privacy and consideration” as they navigate their separate paths.
Responding to the announcement, AY conveyed optimism by sharing a brief message on his Instagram page.
He wrote, “This too shall pass.”
