Bayern Munich’s rising star, Jamal Musiala, has brushed off comparisons to football legend Lionel Messi, labeling it as an “impossible mission.”
The 21-year old playmaker, widely hailed as one of the brightest talents in the sport, asserted that he does not aim to emulate Messi’s illustrious career.
The Germany international has been tipped to fight for the Ballon d’Or award in the future like Messi has done in the past.
In an interview with Marca, he addressed the speculation surrounding his potential to match Messi’s achievements.
Musiala stated, “I don’t know, I don’t think I can compare myself at all with Messi and that is almost an impossible mission.

“I think comparing myself to Leo or any other player is in vain. I take my profession year by year and I continue working to try to be better and win titles for my team. Only then will they arrive safely,” he added.
