Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Ethan Nwaneri will be sidelined for “a few weeks” due to a muscle injury.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder, who scored Arsenal’s equalizer in their 1-1 draw against Brighton last Saturday, was forced off at halftime with the injury.
Arteta revealed that Nwaneri will be out for an extended period as he recovers.
The teenager, who has impressed with his performances, has been fast-tracked into Arsenal’s first team this season amidst the club’s ongoing injury woes.
Arsenal is also missing key players including Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Raheem Sterling, impacting their quest for trophies this term.
