Chelsea Football Club has been handed Premier league approval to sign The Infinite Athlete to become the club’s New front of Shirt Sponsor,after kicking off the new season with no front of shirt sponsor.
The Sport Technology Company Infinite Athlete deal with Chelsea reportedly worth £43m which would only last for the 2023/24 season. The London club executives are presently in search of a longer term sponsor from next summer.
The deal was said to have been agreed over a Month now but nothing was officially confirmed. The deal didn’t go through in time for Infinite Athlete to appear on Chelsea’s shirts against Brighton in the Carabao Cup on 27th Wednesday night. However, it is expected that it would appear on the blues shirt when they play on 2nd Monday night against Fulham.
Chelsea have faced lots of difficulties finding a sponsor after the Premier League blocked a deal with broadcaster Paramount+ due to the risk of upsetting current rights holders.
They also faced anger from supporters for considering betting company Stake.com, amid work from the Chelsea Foundation to tackle problem gambling.
The premier league Club has started not the way the club may want as they presently sit 13th after gathering 5 Points from a possible 18pts in six games played.
