Court Halts Kano Anti-Corruption Agency from Probing APC National Chairman Ganduje Over Bribery Video

Federal High Court in Kano has issued an order prohibiting the Kano Anti-Corruption Complaints Commission from proceeding with its investigation into the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The investigation pertains to a viral bribery video that allegedly shows Dr Ganduje receiving illicit payments.

Justice Liman, presiding over the case, declared on Tuesday that the investigation falls within the purview of federal jurisdiction. Consequently, he asserted that only a federal agency possesses the authority to conduct inquiries into the matter.

The Kano Anti-Corruption Agency had earlier expressed its intention to probe Dr Ganduje following the circulation of the controversial video.
