Peter Obi Awards Full Scholarship to Keke Rider for Returning N15 Million Cash Left in Tricycle

Awwalu Salisu, a 23-year-old commercial tricyclist based in Kano, has been awarded a fully funded scholarship up to Ph.D. level by the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Awwalu gained widespread recognition after returning a substantial sum of N15 million left in his tricycle by a Chadian businessman back in 2023.

The scholarship announcement took place during the Leadership Awards ceremony, where Peter Obi expressed his admiration for Awwalu’s honesty.

Obi revealed, “Forthright, I have consulted with my young brother, Datti Baba Ahmed, and I know there will be other things coming from big men who are here. However, for us, your education, including tuition, accommodation, and feeding until you graduate, will be taken care of by Baze University.”
