EFCC Planning to Arrest Me Over Naira Abuse – Portable Laments, Blasts Social Media Influencer

Portable Laments, Blasts Social Media Influencer

Controversial musician, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has voiced concerns over an alleged plot by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to arrest him for purported Naira abuse.

Currently residing abroad, Portable claimed that upon his return to Nigeria, EFCC operatives intend to detain him.

The singer, who recently appealed to the EFCC for leniency if there were any allegations against him regarding Naira abuse, expressed fear during an Instagram live session with his fans.

He attributed the potential legal trouble to self-proclaimed social media influencer, VeryDarkMan, who purportedly urged the agency to take action against him for alleged currency misuse.

In his live session, Portable directed criticism towards VeryDarkMan, questioning his credibility and suggesting that he should refrain from commenting on law enforcement matters.

Speaking with fans, Portable stated, “I am scared. The EFCC is planning to arrest me when I return to Nigeria because VeryDarkMan name-dropped me.

“VeryDarkMan abi VeryDarkBrain, you talk too much. Leave talk for people who have something reasonable to say. Are you a law enforcement officer? Your opinions on public affairs are for people in the law enforcement agencies. When you were arrested it was Nigerians who begged for your freedom. When you came out, you were lean; all your muscles disappeared.

“And now you’re bragging. Leave talk for people who are sensible. You talk about women, politics, everything. What do you do for a living? Tok tok,” he added.
