FG Repatriates 190 Nigerians from UAE

The federal government has repatriated 190 stranded Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This was announced in a statement signed by Bashir Garga, the zonal director of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the North-Central region, on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to Mr. Garga, the returnees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Tuesday at 5:57 a.m.

They were welcomed by a team of government officials led by NEMA.

He also mentioned that the relevant agencies were on hand to profile and document the returnees, as well as to advise them on maintaining decorum and responsibility upon their return to Nigeria.

“The federal government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country by upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity,” Mr Garga explained.
