Free Fuel as Residents Scoop From Overturned Tanker in Lagos

A fuel-laden tanker overturned in the Ojuelegba area of Lagos State on Friday, creating a dangerous atmosphere for residents to bring different sizes of containers to scoop fuel.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority posted the video of the incident on its X account with a throng of Lagosisans scooping for the liquid.

However, LASTMA disclosed that there was no record of fatality in the accident that occurred in the area.

Emergencies authorities, however, said no casualties were recorded and efforts are in top gear to clear the area.

“A tanker loaded with oil upturned at Dormanlong bridge inward Fadeyi,” LASTMA said.

“LRU has been contacted to its evacuation, officers are on ground managing the situation,” it added.

No report as of this time of filing this report that the vessels has been moved.
