Governor Aiyedatiwa Dissolves Ondo State Executive Council

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council, effective immediately.

This was disclosed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Wednesday.

The statement also said that all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants have been relieved of their duties and instructed to hand over all government property in their possession.

The governor expressed his gratitude to the affected officials for their service and contribution to the state’s development.

The dissolution of the cabinet comes less than a month after Governor Aiyedatiwa assumed office following the demise of his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu, who died on December 27, 2023, after a long battle with prostate cancer.

The late former governor will be laid to rest on February 23, according to the funeral arrangements released by his family.
