Pastor E. A Adeboye, the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God shared a peculiar prediction about his own demise, stating that he envisions his passing to be on a Sunday, following a satisfying meal of pounded yam.
The renowned Cleric made this assertion at the ongoing Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ogun State
Recalling a family anecdote, Pastor Adeboye detailed how one of his uncles passed away without any prior illness after attending a church service.
The uncle reportedly succumbed inside a toilet while his wife was in the process of preparing a meal, emphasizing the absence of sickness, ache, or pain.

Adeboye said, “After she finished pounding the yam, she knocked at the door of the toilet, when they opened the door, my uncle was gone; no sickness, no ache, no pain.
“I know somebody will say if we are never sick, how are we going to die and go to heaven? You don’t need to be sick to go to heaven”.
“If the Lord tarries His coming, I will go on a Sunday after a good meal of pounded yam,” he disclosed.
