JUST-IN: 7 Dead After Gunmen Attack In Taraba

The unknown attacker, suspected to be a local Vigilante group, attacked the bus at Gamkwe village, located at Marraban Baisa in Donga local government area of the state.

In a telephone interview with the driver of the vehicle, Mr. Jimen Angera, he explained how he escaped the scene of the incident with machete cuts. He added that the attackers were in large numbers carrying guns, machetes, and other light weapons.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Taraba State Command, Mr David Iloyonomon, confirmed that his men found seven bodies of the passengers, who were initially thought to be kidnapped, in the bush within the area while on patrol to contain a crisis between Ichen and Tiv ethnic groups.
